Ternate to PITX

Mga 43 km sa Governor's Drive, Antero Soriano Highway at CAVITEX. Ayon sa DOTr plan, dapat may Saulog every 15 minutes from 4am to 10pm. Iba sa totoong buhay, kaya kailangan natin ang isa't isa.

Sa PITX, nasa Gate 6 sa ground floor ang sakayan ng Saulog. Kung "Naic" ang signboard, hanggang Naic lang ang bus: ipapakita 'to ng app pag sinabi ng nakasakay.

At PITX, the Saulog boards at Gate 6 on the ground floor. If the signboard says "Naic", the bus only goes as far as Naic: the app shows this when a rider reports it.

How to spot a Saulog

  • Kulay: puti ang body, green ang bubong sa harap, at yellow sa baba ng harapan.
  • Colors: white body, green roof at the front, and yellow along the lower front.
  • Gilid: green at yellow na waves, may green na "SAULOG TRANSIT, INC.".
  • Sides: green and yellow waves, with a green "SAULOG TRANSIT, INC.".
  • Body number: nagsisimula sa 717 (e.g. 717212), nasa harap at sa malaking green panel sa likod.
  • Body number: starts with 717 (e.g. 717212), on the front and on the big green panel at the back.
  • Signboard: Ternate, Naic, Maragondon o PITX sa windshield. Kung "Naic", hanggang Naic lang.

You see it right away when someone boards thanks to you. There's a weekly leaderboard, under a nickname you choose.

After boarding, people are asked whether the app's ETA was right. That's where each sharer's trust (stars) comes from.

To prevent cheating: brand-new devices don't count, there's a daily limit, and the bus must really be near the stop when someone taps.

Every time a shared bus passes a stop, the time is recorded. Within a few weeks the app knows how often a Saulog passes your stop each hour, and how long each stretch takes at rush hour.

Malakas ba sa data at battery?Does it eat data and battery?

Magaan ang pag-abang: maliliit na update lang ng location ng bus. Medyo mabigat ang map sa unang bukas, tapos naka-cache na. Pag nagsha-share ka, gamit ang GPS at bukas ang screen, kaya magdala ng powerbank sa mahabang biyahe.

Waiting is light: just small updates of the bus position. The map is a bit heavier the first time, then it's cached. Sharing uses GPS and keeps the screen on, so bring a power bank on long rides.

Bakit kailangang bukas ang app habang nagsha-share?Why must the app stay open while sharing?

Hindi pinapayagan ng browsers na kumuha ng location pag naka-close ang app, kaya hindi namin pinapa-off ang screen habang nagsha-share. Ginagawa na ang Android app para gumana kahit naka-lock ang phone.

Browsers can't get your location once the app is closed, so we keep the screen on while you share. An Android app that works with the phone locked is in the works.

The app shows what it has learned about your stop, like how many Saulog usually pass per hour, plus the DOTr plan. It gets better the more people share.
